Adult education in Liberia is discussed as to the types of programs offered and the purposes and goals of each type. The programs are classified as Literacy Education, Continuing Education, Vocational Education, In-Service Education, and Fundamental Education. The needs of the adult Liberian in relation to the courses offered are discussed. Problems confronting adult education in this developing society concern areas such as priorities, cooperation, coercion, and pressure. (DB)
