Teaching the Inquiry Process to 21st Century Learners
Carnesi, Sabrina; DiGiorgio, Karen
Library Media Connection, v27 n5 p32, 34-36 Mar-Apr 2009
Unlike the static, set-in-stone research project, the inquiry process is an interactive cycle used to teach research in any content area. The inquiry process engages students in a way that promotes critical thinking, higher-level processing, and the use of more varied and appropriate resources. This article introduces the inquiry process and discusses how to teach this process to 21st century learners. (Contains 2 figures.)
