Implementing Title IX and Attaining Sex Equity. Application Materials for Community Groups.
National Foundation for the Improvement of Education, Washington, DC. Resource Center on Sex Roles in Education.
The materials included in this booklet are designed for use by participants in Application Sessions A and B for Community Groups working with elementary-secondary schools. These materials are initial drafts prepared for field testing only. They are not the final products to be delivered at the completion of the project. The materials are organized within two sections: (1) The Community Change Agent and Title 9--Building a Knowledge Base for Change, and (2) The Community Change Agent and Title 9--Building Skills for Change. These participant materials are one component of a multicomponent training model developed by the Resource Center on Sex Roles in Education under a subcontract with the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO). The training model is designed to assist education personnel and interested citizens in the implementation of Title 9 of the Education Amendments of 1972 and the attainment of sex equity in education. The training model will be utilized in 20 regional workshops of the CCSSO's Title 9 Equity Workshops Project. (Author)
