Safety in the Classroom: How to Communicate Policies that Ensure Children's Health and Safety
Wilford, Sara
Early Childhood Today, v21 n2 p12-13 Oct 2006
The events of September 11th, 2001 in the US eroded a basic sense of security on the national level. This is one of the factors that affect the need for early childhood schools and centers to review and be clear about their safety and security policies. In this article, the author stresses that it is the director's job to make sure that basic health and safety procedures and materials are in place; and proceeds to discuss several key aspects of school health and safety procedures that are worth noting.
