Wise, Holistic Thinking: An Interview with Jean Sunde Peterson

This article presents an interview with Jean Sunde Peterson, professor and director of school-counselor preparation in the Department of Educational Studies at Purdue University. She is a licensed mental health counselor and a national certified counselor, planning to return to clinical work with gifted children and adolescents and their families in retirement. She has won numerous teaching, scholarship, and service awards at Purdue and several national research awards, and she often presents keynote and other conference sessions related to her areas of expertise. In the interview, Peterson talks about her involvement in the field of gifted education and how she became interested in the social-emotional concerns of gifted students.
