Module titles include: (1) "Resources and Wastes" (providing an overview to waste management and production); (2) "Waste Streams" (focusing on wastes produced in domestic and industrial streams); (3) "Waste Management" (reviewing management practices); (4) "Wastes Costs" (explaining costs of wastes); (5) "Resource Recovery" (focusing on the costs, benefits, barriers, and incentives associated with resource recovery); (6)"Roles, Responsibilities, and Legislation" (identifying legal factors); (7) "Consumer Choices" (exploring the consumers' decisions and effects of these decisions); and (8) "Getting Involved" (outlining specific ways of reducing wastes and improving management practices). A separate teaching guide is also provided which contains suggestions for use and points out additional references, periodicals, and audiovisual materials. (ML)
