The pooling of documentation service resources has resulted in the creation of an International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) integrated bibliographic information system. The former Library Bulletin has become IPPF Cooperative Information Service (ICIS). Entries in ICIS are classified according to the following nine categories: (0) General Reference; (1) IPPF; (2) Family Planning and Health Care; (3) Biomedical Science; (4) Social Sciences Related to Family Planning; (5) Education and Training; (6) Information and Communication; (7) International Organizations and Conferences; (8) Countries. Each title included in ICIS is cited only once, a system of cross-referencing being used to lead those interested in a particular subject to material listed in the country section. Complete bibliographic information is given for each entry. An author index and a listing of publishers' addresses are included. This issue of ICIS includes the text of a speech given at a seminar on Documentation in the Field of Human Reproduction, Family Planning and Population Dynamics in the South East Asia Region, Jakarta, Indonesia, August 9-13, 1977.
