This combination teacher's guide and student workbook serves as a companion volume to 101 BASIC Computer Games (EM 011 681). It presents ideas, exercises and supplemental projects which will aid the teaching and learning of a wide variety of academic subjects in grades 7 through 12, although the emphasis is upon mathematics and logic. In addition, the book stresses how to use games to teach people how to think, to be adaptable, to expect surprises, to understand and to have fun. Following an introduction which reviews the history of games and their educational significance, individual chapters deal with mathematical logic, inference, coordinates and grids, and abstract models.
