ProQuest LLC, Ph.D. Dissertation, Capella University
The study is titled "Reducing energy cost and GreenHouse Gas emission in the corporate sector, A Delphi Study". The study applied the Delphi methodology and focused on the Green IT solutions that can help the modern corporate organizations with less than 1000 employees to decrease their energy costs and GHG emissions. The study presents an in-depth analysis of how the Green IT infrastructure has been included in the corporate structures in the past as well as suggests techniques that can help improve the application of Green IT solutions. The study also looked at the energy consumption as the primary energy discharge of the GreenHouse Gas (GHG) emissions. Energy cost and GHG have actually been the biggest concerns for a majority of the global companies as they continue to significantly deteriorate the environment. The research problem in this study focused on the environmental deterioration that occurs due to the increased energy cost and GHG emissions in the Information Technology (IT) industry.
