This handbook discusses the renewable energy resources suitable for use in Maryland. It follows a question and answer format with sections about the following alternative renewable energy sources; solar, wind, wood, water, bio-gas/methane, and geothermal. Each section includes a list of recommended readings, appropriate agencies or organizations, and commercial distributors or manufacturers. There is also an annotated bibliography of selected references about energy. A description of the Maryland State Energy Conservation Plan and the Maryland Energy Policy Office is given. (TM)
