The Efficiency and Success Rates of Print Ready Reference vs Online Ready Reference Searches in Canadian University Libraries.
Horner, Jan; Michaud-Oystryk, Nicole
Journal of Academic Librarianship, v21 n2 p97-102 Mar 1995
An experiment investigated whether the format in which information is stored affects the outcomes of ready reference transactions in terms of efficiency and accuracy. Results indicate that bibliographic questions are more efficiently answered online, while factual questions are more efficiently answered with print sources. Results of the study are provided in four figures and five tables. (Author/AEF)
