This paper concentrates on the erotic aspects of the interaction between cotherapists. This includes the nonrational but healthy sexual attraction that can influence the functioning of the therapeutic team. Increased sexual tensions may adversely affect the therapeutic relationship. Sometimes the main reason for situational impotence is a gross anomaly in a patient's erotic preferences. An overview on nonverbal diagnostic methods is presented, and one of them, the phallometric test, is described in more detail, including a discussion of its limitations. (Author)
