This instructor's manual and student learning activity guide comprise a kit for trade and industrial education (T & I) activities on electric motors. Purpose stated for the activities is to teach the student the four basic types of electric motors, the advantages and disadvantages of each, the types of jobs each can perform, and how to disassemble and reassemble an electric motor. The instructor's manual contains information on activity duration, lists of goals and instructional objectives, vocational clusters, materials for activity implementation (description, safety, materials required, preparation prior to class, classroom techniques, followup activities), answer key, and duplication masters (occupational fact sheet, worksheets). The student learning activity guide provides an introduction, a list of goals, directions, a list of required materials, and a programmed text.
