Duoos, Bridget A.
Strategies: A Journal for Physical and Sport Educators, v25 n2 p23-26 Nov-Dec 2011
Cross-country skiing is a great activity for taking a physical education class outside during the cold winter months. It is also a diverse activity that appeals to students of all ages, and is an excellent cardio-respiratory activity to keep students active. This article has provided the first steps in preparing a cross-country skiing lesson in the physical education setting. Watch for next issue's article about a teaching progression for the diagonal stride and other important cross-country ski skills. (Contains 1 figure and 3 pictures.)
