Statistical outcomes conclude that both the Test Anxiety Inventory and the Anagram Solution Task exhibit substantial discriminant validity but relatively little concurrent validity. The psychometric properties of a revised version of Holland's Vocational Preference Inventory were assessed using federal government employees. It was predicted that there would be variable IQ discrepancies at different ages because of differential age adjustments on the norms of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) and the WAIS-Revised (WAIS-R). A 30-item measure of self-esteem in social situations was developed. Factor analysis revealed that a single general factor accounted for 39.7 percent of the total variance. Reliability data based on 128 subjects and normative data based on 265 subjects are provided. (Author/BW)

Bilingual Navajo adolescents aged 14-16 were administered the Raven Standard Progressive Matrices (RSPM) and Comprehensive Tests of Basic Skills (CTBS). Correlations were moderate and were higher for females than for males. Norms were established for adolescent Navajos on the RSPM, a nonverbal test of intelligence and visual reasoning. (Author/GDC)
