Introduction to Entrepreneurship. Teacher's Guide.
Hiatt, Randy E.
This curriculum guide, which was written to meet the mandate requiring all vocational programs in Texas to provide 30 classroom hours of instruction in entrepreneurship, is intended to introduce entrepreneurship as a viable career choice and foster an attitude conducive to success as an entrepreneur. Addressed in the individual units of the guide are the following topics: the pros and cons of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship and free enterprise, steps in becoming an entrepreneur, procedures in developing a business plan, business ownership, and ways of helping a business succeed. Each instructional unit includes the following basic components: objectives, notes to the instructor, information sheets, transparency masters, activity sheets, tests, and answers to the tests and activities. Concluding the guide are a list of resources and a supplementary set of case studies with questions and answers. (MN)
