Purpose: The purpose of the study was to examine the numbers and percentages of Hispanic college students enrolled in Texas 2-year colleges from the 2000 through the 2011 academic years and to examine the numbers and percentages of Hispanic students obtaining associate degrees from Texas 2-year colleges for the 2000 through the 2011 academic years. Subsequently, the differences in the numbers and percentages of Hispanic students enrolled in Texas 2-year colleges from the 2000 through the 2011 academic years and the differences in the numbers and percentages of Hispanic college students obtaining associate degrees from Texas 2-year colleges for the 2000 through the 2011 academic years were analyzed. Methodology: A causal-comparative research design was used for this study. Data examined were about Hispanic students enrolled in Texas 2-year colleges from each academic year, from 2000 through 2011, as well as about Hispanic students who obtained an associate degree during this period. Findings: Hispanic student enrollment and educational attainment increased from 2000 to 2011. Statistically significant increases were revealed in both the numbers of Hispanic students attending Texas community colleges and in the percentages of enrollment comprised of Hispanic students from 2000 to 2011. Also revealed were statistically significant increases in the numbers of Hispanic students obtaining associate degrees and the percentages of Hispanic students obtaining associate degrees from Texas community colleges from 2000 to 2011. An increase was not present in the numbers of Hispanic students attending the Texas State Technical Colleges and the Lamar State Colleges from 2000 to 2011. However, a statistically significant increase was present in the percentages of enrollment comprised of Hispanic students from 2000 to 2011. Also revealed was the presence of a statistically significant increase in the numbers of Hispanic students obtaining associate degrees from the Texas State Technical Colleges and the Lamar State Colleges. A difference was not present in the percentages of associate degrees obtained by Hispanic students from the Texas State Technical Colleges and the Lamar State Colleges from 2000 to 2011.
