Routine health care can spell the difference between a strong beginning and a fragile start. After much public and Congressional debate, President Obama signed into law landmark health care reform legislation. Although many provisions will not go into effect this year, several important changes could benefit children within a few months. The author highlights these immediate changes as well as how the legislation will affect infants, toddlers, and their families in the future.
