Small-Scale versus Large-Scale Spatial Reasoning: Educational Implications for Children Who Are Visually Impaired.
Potter, L. E.
Journal of Visual Impairment & Blindness, v89 n2 p142-52 Mar-Apr 1995
This article reviews developmental and neuropsychological evidence of differences between modes of processing small-scale and large-scale spatial information, and discusses implications for teaching students with visual impairments. Understanding of developmental processes is felt to be the key to diagnosing and treating orientation and mobility problems. (PB)
