Nadya A. Fouad, recipient of the Award for Distinguished Contributions to Education and Training in Psychology, is cited for her role in the development and implementation of the Multicultural Guidelines, her commitment to social justice and equality, and her pioneering work in establishing benchmarks for trainee competency. Her contributions to education and training have brought about a paradigm shift in the way that psychology attends to issues of individual and cultural differences and establishes and evaluates competency.
