This teacher's guide presents teaching suggestions and presentation materials about women's rights around the world in terms of equal access to education, health care, employment, land, credit, technology, and political power. Transparency masters are titled: (1) "Percent of Females Enrolled in Secondary School"; (2) "Female and Male Adult Literacy Rates, 1990"; (3) "Female Literacy and Population Growth in Selected Countries"; (4) "Maternal Mortality Rate in Selected Countries, 1980-1990"; (5) "Sex Differences in Infant Mortality in Selected Countries, 1994"; (6) "Total Labor Force by Gender, 1990"; (7) "Women's and Men's Working Time, Including Household Labor, 1976-88"; (8) "Gender Labor Division in Africa, Early 1980s"; (9) "Women's Average Wages as a Percentage of Men's, 1983-87"; and (10) "Parliamentary Seats Held by Men and Women in Selected Countries, 1987."
