Chapter 6, "Seeds Sprout In Strange Places," includes Carrot Hanging Basket, Green Haired Potato, and other unusual means of planting seeds. Chapter 7, "Having A Vine Time," utilizes a sweet potato vine for many experiments and decorations. Chapter 8, "Big, Little, Or In Between," presents various experiments related to the size of seeds. Chapter 9, "Turning, Whirling, Climbing, And Sinking," provides experiments dealing with the movement of seeds in germination.
