As one of a series of ten bibliographies on Asian countries, this work covers the multi-disciplinary field of mass communication in the country of Nepal. For the bibliography, areas such as agriculture, anthropology, community development, economics, education, law, political science, population, public administration, sociology, social psychology, and urban studies were searched for materials on relevant aspects of communication. The contents are organized according to the following topics: bibliography and reference material, communication (general), media development and characteristics, newspapers, print media, broadcast media, film, audiovisual media, traditional media, news agencies, law of mass communication, communication in development, communication teaching and training, mass media in formal education, government communication, social contexts of the media, and mass communication periodicals. A short descriptive annotation accompanies most titles, except where the titles are adequately descriptive of the content. An author index is included. (MAI)
