The 1974 Conservation Directory is the 19th edition of a national comprehensive listing of organizations, agencies, and officials concerned with natural resources. It includes entries for about 1,400 organizations and over 7,000 individuals. Sections listing members of Congress, congressional committees, federal agencies, international, national, and interstate conservation organizations, and government agencies and citizen groups of the U.S. and Canada are presented. Additionally, a separate listing of U.S. and Canadian fish and game administrators, a guide to major college and universities offering professional conservation training, and index of periodicals and directories of interest, a list of some of the foreign governmental conservation/environment offices and references to certain audiovisual and bibliographic materials are included.
