The Great Lakes Science Advisory Board of the International Joint Commission surveyed several hundred educators and producers of educational programs. One of the results of the survey was the development of this directory, which is limited to materials and producers of materials dealing with the Great Lakes Basin ecosystem, environmental studies, and ecology in general. Each resource entry is included in a category according to its format. These broad divisions include: (1) books; (2) pamphlets; (3) serials and journals; (4) newsletters; (5) audio-visual materials; (6) kits; (7) environmental education centers; (8) activities and workshops for educators; and (9) sources of materials. Most entries include titles, publishers and producers, addresses, publishing dates, subjects covered, emphasis, and the approximate audience level. Also included are a subject index and a grade index which are designed to help the user locate materials. (TW)
