Journal of College Student Development, v60 n1 p1-16 Jan-Feb 2019
With this study we sought to contribute to the literature on issues with undergraduate college men and alcohol consumption. Undergraduate men at 5 institutions across the Northeast (N = 1,457) were surveyed to examine the relationships among masculine norms, ethnic identity, social dominance orientation, and alcohol behavior. Data were analyzed through zero-inflated negative binomial regression. Results suggest masculine norms best predict alcohol behavior with differences by race and ethnicity.
