Factors Affecting Applicants' Acceptance or Decline of Offers to Enroll in a Medical School.
Cleave-Hogg, Doreen; And Others
College and University, v69 n2 p104-09 Win 1994
A University of Toronto (Canada) study of medical school applicants accepting (n=784) and declining (n=255) admission identified influential factors. Some (living cost, location) cannot be affected by the institution. The institution has limited control of others (faculty size, school environment) but can influence applicant perceptions. One essential factor, institutional reputation, can be changed. (MSE)
