The oral testimony presented in this document was designed to supplement materials, strategies, and recommendations contained in "Guidelines for the Development of a Program in Puerto Rican and Cuban Ethnic Heritage Studies at the Post-Secondary Level" (Curry College, 1976). Part 1, "The Hispanic Media," consists of interviews with various Hispanic Media representatives. Part 2, "Hispanic Agencies," includes an interview with the Executive Director of the Hispanic Office of Planning and Evaluation, and transcripts of round table discussions of two Hispanic community groups. Part 3, "Hispanic Access to Higher Education," consists of interviews with Hispanic students from Chamberlayne College and Howard School of Medicine. Part 4, "Housing and the Spanish Speaking Community," includes interviews with Hispanic community leaders and with a Puerto Rican family living in Boston. Part 5 deals with "Social and Political Issues in the Hispanic Community," and includes an interview with the Massachusetts Secretary of State, a round table discussion of the changing role of Hispanic women, oral testimony on Caribbean folk religions, and interviews with three Hispanic men on the subject of fatherhood.
