Influence on Levels of Information as Presented by Different Technologies on Students' Understanding of Acid, Base, and pH Concepts.
Nakhleh, Mary B.; Krajcik, Joseph S.
Journal of Research in Science Teaching, v31 n10 p1077-96 Dec 1994
Involves secondary students in a study designed to allow investigation into how different levels of information presented by various technologies (chemical indicators, pH meters, and microcomputer-based laboratories-MBLs) affected students' understanding of acid, base, and pH concepts. Results showed that students using MBLs exhibited a greater differentiation and integration of their knowledge of acids and bases. (ZWH)
