This study compared the ratings of 19 adolescents when listening to recordings of the speech of eight children with cerebral palsy and eight normal-speaking children. For all 22 adjective pairs, the normal speakers were rated significantly more positively. (Author/DB)

A sample of 91 White and 22 minority parent volunteers whose children attended an urban elementary school were administered a revised version of the Dean Alienation Scale. Results indicated that minority parents were more alienated from school than were White parents. (FMW)

Analysis of statewide (Oklahoma) survey data revealed that 22.5% of individuals with mental retardation who were served by the Oklahoma mental retardation system were receiving antipsychotic medication.
