Ma, Xin; Klinger, Don A.
Canadian Journal of Education, v25 n1 p41-55 2000
Used hierarchical linear modeling with data from the New Brunswick School Climate Study (Canada) to examine student background, school context, and school climate effects on Grade 6 student achievement in mathematics, science, reading, and writing. Gender, socioeconomic status, and Native ethnicity were significant predictors of academic achievement. Other factors were significant for some subjects. (SLD)
