This is one of eighteen sets of individualized mathematics problems developed by the Oregon Vo-Tech Math Project. Each of these problem packages is organized around a mathematical topic and contains problems related to diverse vocations. Solutions are provided for all problems. The volume contains problems in applied geometry. Measurement of perimeters, areas, and volumes, as well as angle measurmeent and the use of the Pythagorean Theorem, form the basis for most of the problems included. Problems are drawn from eleven vocational areas: fire and police science, aviation mechanics, industrial mechanics, forest products, auto mechanics, electronics, drafting, machine tools, food processing, forestry, and agriculture.
