Items covered in the agreement include: dues checkoff; faculty released time; nondiscrimination; faculty appointment and reappointment; academic rank; leaves and holidays; faculty workload; temporary disability and parental leave; personnel files; professional evaluation; grievances and complaints; arbitration procedure; disciplinary actions; increased promotional opportunities; distinguished professorships; research, fellowship and scholar incentive awards; professional reassignments in the library; welfare benefits; retirement; travel allowances; facilities and services for instructional staff; rehiring of persons who are discontinued; discontinuances; faculty and staff development; continuing education; and salaries.
