This booklet presents a clear and succinct description of the educational needs of francophone students, families, and communities, and how this all fits into the constitutional requirements of Canada as directed by the 1982 Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and all subsequent amendments and Canadian Supreme Court rulings. It identifies the expected outcomes for francophone education and the conditions that must be met to ensure that these outcomes are achieved. It describes the educational project and the very core of francophone education and emphasizes the importance of the school-family-community partnership in achieving this project.
