Imhanlahimi, E. O.; Maduewesi, B. U.
College Student Journal, v40 n3 p575-582 Sep 2006
In this paper, the authors critically examined the problems of admission into Nigeria Universities; and expressed the view that about seventy percent of Nigerians are not aware of the essence of the present system of education, which is geared towards producing individuals with adequate knowledge and skills needed for self-reliance or employment on graduation from secondary school. Consequently, most parents and students still lust for the academic type or university education, hence the serious problem of admission into Nigeria Universities. Solutions to the problems of admission were accordingly proffered and innovation diffusion plan used to implement the suggested solutions. (Contains 1 table.)
