Ownership of Learning in Teacher Education.

Describes two teacher educators' efforts to understand ownership in learner-centered programs. Participants were K-5 teachers in a collaborative master's program guided by constructivist theory. Data from weekly planning meetings, classroom observations and follow-ups with teachers, group discussions, and surveys helped researchers identify: strategies to encourage ownership, teachers' perceptions of ownership, and ways classroom teachers encouraged ownership in their classrooms.
