Evaluation of five computer-based integrated learning systems for job skill development (Autoskill, CCC, Invest, Pathfinder, and PLATO) revealed (1) the importance of context (United States vs. Canada); (2) variability of sites being more significant than variability among systems; (3) lack of information on outcomes; and (4) the need to match programs and their purposes with sites.
