The Effects of Teacher Intrusion on Social Play Interactions between Children with Autism and Their Nonhandicapped Peers.
Meyer, Luanna H.; And Others
Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, v17 n3 p315-32 Sep 1987
The study investigated the effects of two levels of teacher intrusion upon the behavior of eight elementary level autistic children and their nonhandicapped peers during dyadic play interactions. Few differences in subject behavior were observed, though the low-intrusion condition was associated with higher levels of toy contact and fewer spontaneous verbalizations. (Author/DB)
