Argues that for too long the experiences of the Chinese population in America have been either shrouded in misconception or totally ignored, and that this country must recognize and deal with the issues affecting this community. Learning about Chinese Americans will allow us to reexamine governmental policies towards racial and ethnic groups and begin to make necessary changes. (Author/JM)
