Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities
According to the British Association for Supported Employment (BASE), employing people with disabilities can enhance a company's reputation, lead to innovation in products and services and can be a great way to demonstrate corporate social responsibility in employment. This growing body of evidence showing that there is a strong business case for employing people with a learning disability, coincides with an increased awareness among employers of disability and an interest in employing a more diverse workforce. This guide seeks to build on this knowledge by exploring the practical implications of adopting a more inclusive approach to recruiting people with a learning disability. Inside, information about Supported Employment and Job Coaching including tips on how and where to get this type of support, how to get funding for it, and how to work with Job Coaches.
