Following an introduction that includes directions on using the guide and preparations, the activities are organized by media as follows: (1) "Primarily Paint"; (2) "Hands on Dough"; (3) "Making Marks"; (4) "Sticky Business" (paste and paper); and (5) "Great Impressions" (printing and stamping). The final chapter, "Fun Stuff for Toddlers and Twos," includes art related projects, such as a mini chalkboard and an art frame for the refrigerator.
