Instructional Materials Development (IMD): A Review of the IMD Program, Past, Present, and Future.
Cozzens, Margaret B.
Instructional materials influence what students are taught and how teachers teach. An innovative, comprehensive, and diverse portfolio of instructional materials that implement standards-based reform in mathematics, the natural and social sciences, and technology education is required for preK-12+ education. This paper discusses the history of the Instructional Materials Development (IMD) program--including development, dissemination, adoption, and implementation--and provides a glimpse into the future of the program.
