Citations in this bibliography are intended to be a substantial resource for recent investigations (January 1990-January 1995) on animal welfare policy and were obtained from a search of the National Agriculture Library's AGRICOLA database. A representation of the search strategy is included. The 244 citations range in topic and include animal welfare, regulations, standards, law, policy, politics, research, animal experimentation, laboratory animals, cages, agricultural biotechnology, commercial farming, agricultural policy, livestock, inspection, animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, animal testing alternatives, cosmetics, environmental impact, bioethics, marine mammals, and wild animals. Abstracts are provided for some, but not all, entries. Entries include National Agriculture Library call numbers, title, author, publisher or distributor, language, descriptors, and abstract.
