This report describes the progress of the "Way to Grow School Readiness Program," a program implemented in several cities in Minnesota to promote intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development and school readiness of children to age 5. The program coordinates and improves access to community-based and neighborhood-based services that support and assist parents in meeting the health and developmental needs of their children. The first part of the report describes the program's background, components, and service strategies; state appropriations; and application process. The second part of the report describes in detail each of the specific programs in Minneapolis, Columbia Heights, St. Paul, Winona, and St. Cloud. The report concludes with a brief assessment of the program. (MM)
