Designed for college faculty, students and administrators interested in information about the current practice and theory of preparing college teachers of writing, this annotated bibliography lists books, articles, and other related sources dealing with the area of writing teacher education. A brief introduction discusses the findings and conclusions of a committee appointed by the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) to investigate this subject. The 140 citations are organized into two groups: (1) 117 articles and conference papers, with brief descriptive abstracts; and (2) 23 books either designed for use in courses to prepare writing teachers or capable of being used in such a context.
