Designed to broaden awareness of the Texas Education Computer Cooperative (TECC) and its efforts to develop products and services which can be most useful to schools, this publication provides an outline of the need, purpose, organization, and funding of TECC and descriptions of 19 projects. The project descriptions are organized by fiscal year in education service center numerical sequence. For each product or service, information includes location, project contact person and telephone, project overview, and project products and their availability date. Products and services developed by these projects include the Texas Assessment of Basic Skills-Related Courseware for Microcomputers; the Statewide Microcomputer Courseware and Evaluation Network; a learner-based accountability system; computer assisted systems for reading and math; a mastery management system; a resource management system; a guidance information system; a teacher inservice model for delivery of computer training; an implementation guide for computer literacy; a learner-based accountability system; a payroll/personnel system; finance, payroll, and fixed assets for the IBM System 23, TRS-80 Model 12, and Apple III computers; online student grade reporting and attendance accounting system on the IBM System 23 computer; and simulated data sets to ensure maximum instructional benefit from business application software.
