Nearly 3,600 articles and essays covering a wide spectrum of postsecondary educational issues for the period 1960-1978 are indexed in this anthology. The essays, found in more than 200 anthologies, are arranged under 31 topic headings such as: History of Postsecondary Education; Economics of Postsecondary Education; Planning and Policy Development; Curriculum and Instruction--General; Adult and Continuing Education; Minorities and Women; Legal Issues; and the Future of Postsecondary Education. More than 80 percent of the articles were original contributions to the anthologies in which they appeared and are not readily identifiable through standard bibliographic sources. With a few exceptions they appear in this index, in addition to the main entries, arranged topically and listed is each piece by author and subject. Also provided are a list of abbreviations, a list of anthologies, and notes on the scope and use of the index.
