The background material for teachers presents definitions, lists energy sources, uses and conservation, and discusses states, storage and conversion of energy. Related activities include energy bingo, presentation of television commercials to convince people to conserve energy, school and home energy surveys, and interviews with older people to determine how energy was used in the early part of the 20th century.
