This book is the second volume of an annual publication that deals with the sociology of the sciences from a very broad perspective. This volume is designed to stimulate new discussion among historians and sociologists of science and technology, economic and social historians as well as philosophers of science aiming at a more appropriate understanding of the scientific and technological changes taking place. It is intended for an audience of teachers, students and all others interested in sociology of science, and history of science and technology. The publication has a compilation of articles arranged in four major parts: Part I deals with Science and Technology; Part II is on the Interrelation between Science and Technology; Part III discusses Science and Technology in Their Social Context; and Part IV considers the Scientification of Technology.
