This document consists of two parts: (1) a copy of a Science Attitude questionnaire developed in Britain for use with secondary school students, and (2) a manual describing administration and interpretation of the questionnaire. The questionnaire consists of 58 five-choice, Likert-type items, and takes 45 minutes to administer. The items form five subscales: (1) science interest, (2) social implications of science, (3) learning activity, (4) science teachers, and (5) school. In addition to directions for administration and scoring the test, the manual contains data on the reliability and validity of the instrument, results of a factor analytic study of the test, correlations between subscale scores and other scholastic aptitude scores and norms.
